Making Music

In March 2025, I released my debut single under my stage name, Yula Wyn. As an unsigned artist with no budget for a manager, I incorporated the skills I developed in my public relations career to promote my new music. Within 36 hours, I generated 100 streams across all platforms, increased my social media following by 200% and connected with newfound fans around the world.

My tactics included:

- Selecting a brand voice and style and applying it to all communications materials
- Designing an album cover, logo and social media graphics through Canva and with personal photography
- Planning a social media strategy and drafting corresponding copy
- Identifying independent radio stations and music blogs and pitching my new single to them
- Networking with local musicians, record labels and venues to build repore and secure performance opportunities
- Analyzing streaming statistics to shape and guide future tactics
